SUNDAY SCHOOL (click here for this month’s calendar)
During our classes from 9:00-9:45am each Sunday morning, children in grades pre-kindergarten through 5 learn Bible stories through songs, skits, crafts, and other hands-on activities.

Once a year, they share what they have learned with the congregation in a performance. In 2010, the musical “100% Chance of Rain” illustrated the story of Noah.

CHILDREN’S CHURCH

“Godly Play” is based on the Montessori Method, teaching children to use their curiosity and imagination to experience the mystery and joy of God.

  • Children grades pre-kindergarten through 3 are invited to join from 10-10:40 to hear the sacred stories, parables and liturgies of our Christian faith.
  •  Each week, children hear and see a different story performed by their storyteller/teacher, have a discussion and hands-on activities time, and then a “feast” in which they break bread together.
  •  They adjourn to the sanctuary where they join their parents for the remainder of the 10 a.m. service.

CHILDREN’S MUSIC PROGRAM
Our music program for children ages 4 and up follows the Royal School of Church Music comprehensive curriculum, “A Voice for Life,” that provides a framework for developing musical skills.

  • Children in different age groups meet each Wednesday afternoon to learn musical skills and record their achievements on progress cards, as they work toward earning ribbon awards.
  •  They grow in self-confidence, personal expression and even teamwork as they develop a lifelong appreciation for music.
