Pastoral Care
St. Peter’s invites you to join our parishioners who reach out to those whose life challenges re greater than our own. We offer assistance to those in need while building relationships that have a positive impact on all involved.
St. Peter’s parishioners provide flower delivery to hospitalized or homebound parishioners, meals and soups to those who may be ill, have a spouse or loved one who is ill, just had a baby, are alone and unable to cook or have lost a loved one. We provide transportation to appointments and send greeting cards to celebrate birthdays and anniversaries and send prayer cards to those who are sorrowful or ill. Our prayer guild members daily remember those in need of our daily intercession.
The parish nurse ministry provides all parishioners of St. Peter’s with holistic health care – health care that integrates the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of each individual. As a member of St. Peter’s staff, the Parish Nurse focuses on prevention and wellness. She visits parishioners in health care facilities and in their homes to listen and help with health concerns. She facilitates workshops related to the connection between spirituality and health and promotes an understanding of the relationship between life-style attitudes, faith and well-being. All communications with parishioners are confidential.
Calling all knitters. Those who knit are welcome to join us as we knit together and share patterns for shawls that, once blessed, are given to parishioners, family and friends with health issues. We meet the 4th Wednesday of each month at St. Peter’s.
