Learning Together

Our offerings help members extend their faith into their day-to-day lives, accommodating a variety of schedules and interest levels, from short-term to year-long.

ADULT SUNDAY SCHOOL

Parents, grandparents, teachers and those with a willingness to share their expertise or experiences are welcome to join our weekly Adult Sunday School class held from 9-10 a.m., between Sunday services, while children are in Sunday School.  We focus on ways in which our faith works and is applied in our real lives, particularly the challenges of raising children today.  The format includes guest speakers, short readings, video clips and group discussion.

ADULT FORUM

The Adult Forum follows the 10 a.m. Sunday service and coffee hour and offers an educational opportunity for adults to grow in their relationship with Christ.  Some weeks the forum has an internal focus, such as learning how our outreach programs serve others. On other weeks, the Adult Forum committee invites interesting speakers from the wider community who offer programs on a variety of topics, such as a three-part history of Gospel music or a preview of Telfair Art Museum art exhibits related to the liturgical season. All are welcome to join and anyone with suggestions for program topics should contact the church office.

BIBLE STUDY

Bible Study with Father Sam is held every Wednesday morning at The Marshes and all ages are welcome.  Together, the group discusses Bible passages, deepening their knowledge of the Bible and strengthening their faith.  For directions, please contact the church office.

BOOK CLUB/LOGOS

“Logos” is defined as “an eternal and unchanging truth present from the time of creating, available to every individual who seeks it.”  Our Logos group meets twice a month in the evenings – one meeting is a social gathering at a local restaurant, the other is dinner at St. Peter’s during which the group discusses the next chapter of its chosen book.  Recent books have included C.S. Lewis’ Mere Christianity and Barbara Brown Taylor’s An Altar in the World. If you would like to join in lively discussion and fellowship, please contact the church office.
